Work package 3

The objective of this WP is to enhance knowledge transfer and exchange best practices through training, short-term and expert visits, joint summer courses, joint proposal writing for new projects and presentations in international conferences and symposia.

The objective is to exchange visits to the partner organizations so that joint tasks on field activity and manuscript preparation can be carried out during the short-term visits and the partners can benefit from the access to the laboratory and field facilities available within the consortium. 2 early stage and 2 advance stage researchers from each of the research institutions (NUBIP, UCPH, SLU and ESCI) totaling 8 researcher will be visiting partner organizations for specific research on agroecology. The research theme for the research will be within agro-ecology and will be defined based on the expertise of the researcher on exchange visits.

The objective is to train the team from widening country by preparing joint proposals so that the coordinating team will be exposed to the different steps in proposal preparation from finding the potential partners to preparation of proposals including concept note preparation, work package description, budgeting and submission in EU portal. Minimum 2 joint proposals will be prepared by the consortium in order to train and transfer the expertise on participation in project proposals. The process will increase the network of partners of the coordinating team from Ukraine, to participate in the upcoming or future calls.

The objective is to arrange 2 joint summer courses by the coordinating team in close collaboration with the consortium. The joint summer courses will include field trial design and sampling, statistical analysis and data processing for article preparation. Also innovative methods on ecosystem service quantification and valuation, environmental footprint assessment and life cycle assessment will be taught at the course to bring together students from the partnering countries and learn together the techniques and methods on agro-ecological intensification.

The objective is to present the research outputs by coordinating team and make it visible to the international audience by sharing the findings of the research carried out in WP2. We will also carry out side events, back to back with other ongoing partner project meetings so that the partners from the widening team have an opportunity to attend the other partner project meetings and also hold talks to share the outputs from our twinning project. This would not only help share and disseminate the project results but also widen the network of possible partners for new project proposals. The plan is to attend minimum 4 conferences by consortium partners to present the project outputs.
