The conference "Biochar for the green restoration of Ukraine" was held on May 2-3, 2024 in the premises of the Faculty of Agrobiology of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine). The topic of biochar will bring together participants from Ukraine and abroad for an interdisciplinary discussion of the possibilities of its application to increase the sustainability of ecosystems, reduce soil degradation and sustainable development. The participants discussed the following topics:

- Post-war soil reclamation.
- Biochar in agriculture and forestry.
- Climate strategies.
- Purification of sewage and drinking water.
- Use for energy supply/production;
- Waste management in settlements.
