Fourth Annual ECOTWINS Consortium Meeting: Project Completion and Prospects for Further Cooperation
On 8 October 2026, the ECOTWINS project partners held a working meeting dedicated to reviewing the project’s achievements and coordinating the final tasks. The participants discussed the completion of activities under each work package, the preparation of final materials, and the presentation of the project’s key achievements.
John Yong, Sahar Azarkamand, and Oksana Tonkha presented updates on their respective work packages. Their presentations outlined the results achieved, the current status of ongoing tasks, and the steps required to complete the planned activities. The discussions helped the partners coordinate their further work during the final stage of the project.
Particular attention was paid to presenting the results of ECOTWINS and ensuring their active use beyond the end of the project. Tetiana Maievska actively contributed to this discussion, raising issues related to the dissemination of the project’s outcomes and opportunities for their further application. The participants discussed ways to ensure that the results remain accessible to the scientific community and relevant stakeholders, while also supporting the long-term impact of their joint work.
At the end of the meeting, the partners discussed prospects for continuing their international cooperation within the future HydraLink project. In particular, they considered the possibility of holding one of its working meetings in Ukraine, in the Zakarpattia region. Such a meeting could provide another opportunity to strengthen partnership ties and facilitate further exchange of experience.
The meeting was focused not so much on bringing the project to an end as on transforming its achievements into a foundation for future cooperation within HydraLink. The experience and outcomes generated through ECOTWINS will therefore continue to contribute to the implementation of many future research projects.
In fact, nothing ever truly ends; it simply continues in a new form. So, until the next meetings in the fields and laboratories!
